What inspires me:

• I’m a sucker for structure and arbitrary objects, shapes and form

• I try to keep up with trends when I am given the chance to travel, using VISI, Pinterest and a few website links that have amazing updates regularly.

• I love the use of colour when a client is feeling adventurous.

• Currently my favourite use of materials are: The use of natural material, such as steel and copper metal colours. This will vary as does your taste in music.

 

I was once asked who my favourite designer was, at the time I was totally caught off guard and after much thought Zaha Hadid popped into my mind, she is an architect and her work is amazing.

 

Google opened my eyes to what was out there;

• Top10 best interior designers and how they have changed the world came up.

 

Going back to the question above, my answer today would be:

• There are many references out there.  I would compare it to music artists and as in music the trend changes.

• One would prefer one artists work to another and each to their own.

 

It is all well being inspired, and utilising this where one can.

However the client at the end of the day has an idea of what they want and others they don’t know what they want, using their likes and dislikes we can assist in designing their space, by keeping up with the latest trends and colours and advise to achieve the end goal of a wow space that inspires them.
