The retail vs Commercial setup is the perfect location for the gym, EFC Gym was looking for a night club vibe where clients would work out in boxing fitness in group training and personal training. This fit out involved lighting along with the DJ setup. The idea was to maximize their space giving them an opportunity to gain access to new bathrooms they required as a additional service to their clients.
Challenges on this site:
Creating the mezzanine level and the vertical supports where a huge concern due to the amount of weight that may or may have not been required on the upper level and maximizing the space below with the weighted water ball bags and loads the above and below required.

Location: 42 Bath Ave, Rosebank
Date of completion: October 2019
Scope of works:
The building was in a state, the developer had bought it off an auction and the location was perfect for a Co- working offices on the corner location and the idea was to uplift the building as the area is currently uplifting and refurbing existing buildings in the area since the last 8 years.
Challenges on this site:
The double plot property becoming one, creating an levelling the parking bay at the back of the building. Plumbing was a huge cost and trenching and compacting the areas took for ever to get the water run off right. The engineers over saw the extruding glass boxes as a challenge but we managed to structurally achieve this eventually, these boxes were worth it, allowing one to feel the outside coming in and amazing views.

Location: 132 Jan Smuts Avenue
Date of completion: This was a live site, to be handed over on the 21st of September 2015
Sqm: 96
Scope of works:
The client’s brief was to have a creative space, which ended up looking very similar to Warm & Glad, as the client had a particular liking to the look and feel of the coffee shop.
For this reason, the client was challenging, and so were the expectations of the site.
There were many design elements to this site.
Challenges on this site:
Size and weight of the materials used.
The seamless glazing was originally part of the scope of works, but the panel size was limited due to the access into the building up to the second floor, the stairs, the widths and the number of levels, which left us no choice, but to have a semi-seamless line for the office shopfront.
This was an element the client was particular about, but it was not foreseen, which affected the overall look he had in mind.

Location: Elgin Office Park
Date of completion: This is a live site, to be completed and handed over in December 2015
Sqm: 450

This particular IT company was in agreement to share office space with MWEB.

At this time the space was no where near complete, but we got there in terms of furniture delivery, and the client started to see how and what we proposed came together.
Challenges on this site:
The tight deadline.
Meeting the client’s expectations.
Working on a live site while being occupied from the 1st of September 2015.

ECOLAB
2013 - 2014
Location: Chloorkop
Date of completion: November 2014
Sqm: 2000
Scope of works:
The client owned an existing building in Chloorkop, to which we had to apply their international corporate identity. We were required to combine two business units in one building. This we did by moving away from individual or shared offices, and creating an open-plan environment, with separate executive and management offices.
The client also requested boardrooms for their internal and client meetings, as well as their training programmes, which run throughout the year.
A full turnkey solution was done from the exterior, adding atriums.
We worked with architects and engineers to retro fit their building.
Challenges on the site:
Working with a live site.
Phasing the project and adhering to all the safety rules and regulations.
Weather conditions played a large role in completing this project on time.
Despite the challenges we faced, the client moved into their revamped building on time. Not only were they settled in the new office in time for the international team to view it, they also had their Christmas function in phase 2

VEDANTA, BLACK MOUNTAIN MINING
2014
Location: Forum Building
Date of completion: April 2014
Sqm: 800
Scope of works:
The client was based on the 8th floor and leased a larger office on the 11th floor. The brief was that each senior staff member needed a closed office, and the client requested minimum shared office space.
We were to incorporate a room where international conferencing could take place.
The graphics were specific and resembled their existing mining sites.
Challenges on the site:
The Forum Building’s contractors worked alongside our contractors to complete the works.
The light sensors were not set to the correct weight for the lights to stay on.
This was rectified during the snag process.
